Non-Member 2013 Guest Policy
Dear Guest,
We are pleased that you selected The West Side Tennis Club as your indoor tennis facility. To make your tennis experience at The West Side enjoyable and your access to services easier, we would like to inform you of the following:
Use of Indoor Tennis Facilities
Check-In/Check-Out: Everyone using the facility, both members and non-members, are required to check-in at the Front Desk. As we are a membership club, we request that all non-members limit their use of the clubhouse facilities to ½ hour before your court time and up to ½ hour after the completion of your booked time. Please sign in when you arrive at the Club and please sign out when you leave. This allows us to know who is on the premises in case of an emergency and to insure that all players are off premises when the Club is closing.
Tennis Equipment: In the event you arrive early, or wish to stay after your tennis games, please store your tennis equipment in the second floor lounge. Since there may be many people walking in and out of the lounge area, we are concerned that tennis bags placed on the floor would present a safety hazard. Our locker rooms are available for your convenience.
Lounge: In the event you wish to have a drink, you can either charge your drink to your Visa or Mastercard only at the bar. Please take your drink upstairs to the second floor to the member lounge for consumption.
Dress Code: The “all white dress code” does not apply to the indoor courts. Although tennis attire is requested. For safety reasons, smooth soled tennis shoes must be worn. No running shoes or ripple soles please.
Courtesy and Safety: If you are scheduled to play in the four-court bubble, please do not cross courts during play. Wait until play has stopped and the players acknowledge your presence for the crossing.
Court Availability: The West Side has the best rates for indoor clay courts. You are welcome to reserve by calling for reservations at 718-268-2300 ext 127.
Clinics and Individual Lessons: There are many opportunities to access both group lessons and individual lessons given by a diverse and excellent, certified professional staff. Additional information about these services is available by calling 718-268-2300 ext 127.
Parents picking up balls for their children’s lessons should be wearing sneakers.
