The West Side Tennis Club is the world’s premiere tennis facility with 38 courts of every surface you could ever wish to play on: grass, Har-Tru, red clay and Deco Turf. But it’s not just about having more and better courts than anywhere else; when you play at the West Side Tennis Club you feel like you are in a different world, far and away from New York City. In addition to the finest facilities we also have some of the best pros in tennis to help you develop and finesse your game as well as regularly scheduled group clinics and an adult tennis camp. And most important, we have hundreds of players, at all levels, eager to meet and play with you.
Like to compete? We have lots of club tournaments at every playing level and we have men’s and women’s teams competing in USTA intra-club leagues.
Like to party? In the winter we hold Saturday Night mixed-doubles round robins with music, followed by a buffet dinner.
Like to play all year round? In the cold months we have 10 bubble courts and platform tennis too!
The West Side Tennis Club is dedicated to the development of tennis skills in young people and we have an extensive year-round junior tennis program that includes an after school program, holiday break mini-camps, and a full day summer tennis camp program. We run two junior tennis programs: Excel and Elite Tournament Training. The programs are offered from October through April.
The Excel program is for beginner and intermediate players of all ages. Excel classes are offered in weekly one or one and a half hour sessions. A maximum student/ teacher ratio of 5 students to 1 teacher is maintained.
The Elite Tournament Training program is a rigorous and demanding program for juniors who wish to compete in USTA tournaments at the highest level of play. The Elite Tournament team participates in local, regional and national USTA tournaments.
The summer tennis camp offers young people a half or full day of tennis lessons, swimming and conditioning exercises. Lunch is included.
